A couple of weekends ago a bunch of girlfriends and I went to Diablo Royale in the West Village for dinner and drinks.
Again, I loooove the West Village, but I HATE waiting. Needless to say, we waited over an hour to be seated. In the meantime, we sat outside/squeezed ourselves into the bar area to order drinks.
We started with the “large” guacamole, which did not seem that big, but it was delicious nonetheless.
I ordered the grilled fish tacos: marinated tilapia with sliced avocado, pico de gallo, and serrano crema. Ah-mazing! I could eat these once a week forever! They were served with rice and a choice of black or refried beans.
Many of us drank Diablo Rickys: 3/4 lager beer and 1/4 margarita. I thought it would be super gross, but I certainly enjoyed my share 😉
For dessert, our table shared an ice cream taco: cinnamon vanilla ice cream in a pastry “tortilla” with blueberries.
